“Happiness is not a state to arrive at, but a manner of traveling.” —Margaret Lee Runbeck I love this quote. This same thought can be applied to health and wellbeing. “Health is not a state to arrive at, but a manner of traveling.” Along the way, the weather and scenery changes. The snow boots and parka you were wearing in the arctic is no longer fitting for a sunny day on the seashore. Staying happy or healthy relies on self-awareness, knowing where you are in your journey and being ok with the fact that it’s not where you were before. Self-awareness has a tendency to ebb and flow throughout life’s journey. Sometimes re-discovering yourself and who you are in this moment is what is needed before any steps can further be taken to move forward.
